-An introduction to Natural Building

Come play, learn and get muddy muddy muddy!!!
Get closer to nature; the elements. We will be working with the earth, water, sun and air at the beautiful Tapovan Ashram, nestled in the mountains of Udaipur.
Open for anybody willing to work hard and get dirty while having fun.
What does this gathering offer?
This workshop provides an introduction to basic earth building techniques, through interactive hands-on processes, discussions and explorations. Techniques that will be explored include wattle and daub, earth bag, cob building, etc. You will be able to understand the earth to work with it using some testing techniques.
There will be games, dances, maybe even a few films.
About the facilitators and PYHT:
Areen Attari is a bio architect. He graduated from the Rizvi College of Architecture and works with Natural buildings. He is passionate about spreading love and laughter in the world, loves to travel, meet new people, laugh loudly, and dreams of a happier, beautiful world.
Azeer Attari is an artist, facilitator and bio-architect. Co-Founder at Put Your Hands Together, Azeer participated in a youth empowerment training in Brazil called Warriors Without Weapons in 2011. He loves creating with his hands and regularly facilitates workshops in co-operative games, nature games, and team building.
“Put Your Hands Together” is an organization founded by a group of friends who have a common passion for creating architecture using locally available natural materials. PYHT has wored in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, involving local artisans and co-creating eco-friendly homes. You can check them out at pyht.org or facebook.com/pyht.org.
Date and Timing: Sunday 14th June 10 am till Thursday 18th June 2015 5 pm
Venue: Swaraj University Campus, Tapovan Ashram, Udaipur. The location of the event offers everything one would want in a story – mountains, lake, trees, forest, village, diverse characters and much more. More details will be sent to you once you register.

We are questioning, challenging and experimenting with our set notion of money. We would like to welcome you in this experiment and deepen our understanding of gift culture.
However, there is a basic cost to host this event and we invite you to contribute based on what you feel called to - for yourself or even for others. Participants are invited to contribute what they want and can. The estimated expenses for your food and stay, and honorarium for resource person(s) comes to ₹ 2500.
Your contribution will help keep such learning spaces alive and also can support other peoples’ participation. No one will be refused due to money constraints – if you need scholarship to participate in this workshop then please write to us.
